Frequently Asked Questions
We both have two left feet and no confidence, can you help us?
Of course - that’s why we're here!
This is your First Dance as husband and wife; we would never force a routine that you feel is too difficult or uncomfortable to perform. The piece will be taught with full input from you and your fiancé.
You might not win Strictly Come Dancing, but you'll have fun, impress your guests and get the evening off to a flying start! Who knows, you could even discover why so many of the 'Strictly' contestants fall in love with dancing!
How far in advance of our wedding should we start our lessons?
Ideally you should start your lessons no later than 8 to 10 weeks before your wedding. This is generally because the closer your wedding, the less time you have! If you have left it late, we will endeavour to arrange lessons to suit the shorter timescale. In any case we would always recommend having your last lesson a week or two before the wedding.
When should we book our dance lessons?
The sooner the better! The fastest way is to book your wedding dance lessons online. Include as much information as possible and we will contact you to arrange your lesson plan. Don't leave it to the last minute!
How long is each dance lesson?
Each lesson is one hour long and if booked as a package there will usually be one week between lessons. Where time is tight, lessons can be extended to two hours, or shorter lunchtime lessons of 30 to 40 minutes are also available. We are flexible and can discuss these options when you have booked.
How many dance lessons will we need?
The number required varies from couple to couple, song to song, routine to routine.
Most of our couples go for a 3 or 5 lesson package however you are welcome to have as many or as few lessons as you feel comfortable with - the choice is entirely yours!
Where are the dance lessons held?
The lessons are held in Ballyclare, Newtownabbey, just 20 minutes from Belfast.
When are dance lessons held?
Monday - Thursday

What should we wear?
You should always be comfortable, so wear anything that doesn't restrict your movement. It would be sensible for the bride to wear shoes similar to her wedding shoes for at least one of the later lessons. Men should also wear proper shoes. Trainers are generally unsuitable.
If you have any concerns about dancing in your wedding dress, you can discuss these in confidence with us too.
Can we do the "Dirty Dancing" or "Thriller" routines that we've seen on YouTube"?
Yes!
...and if you haven't seen them:
